DK Tools Ltd was founded in 1986 by Managing Director Deepak Kalra, to supply the retail trade with a range of tools sourced from various countries worldwide. With continuous expansion the company moved into supplying wholesalers, larger retailers and even exporting. This was all further strengthened with the addition of manufacturing arms in the Far East to assist in product development and procurement.

In 1998 to enhance the image of the product, the brand Am-Tech was launched and was
so successful that the decision was made to re-brand all the companies products under
the Am-Tech banner. Today the Am-Tech brand is even stronger with a vast product range offering excellent brand identity and an unrivaled packaging style.

Other Am-Tech brands have also been added including Am-Tech Gardening and Am-Tech Air Tools all with their own distinctive eye catching packaging style. Since taking over from the DKT brand of tools, Am-Tech has now become an established brand, recognized for innovative products and outstanding packaging.

DK Tools Ltd continues to source new and exciting lines for the tool market and continues
to offer its customers competitive prices, excellent service and availability. Am-Tech is exclusively distributed in the UK and Europe by DK Tools Ltd.

In December 2003 DK Tools Ltd moved into new premises in West Drayton, Middlesex. The new warehouse, offices and showroom, situated close to Heathrow Airport, gave the business a new lease of life with a fully computerized stock system.
